After receiving a shiny new Nikon F100 from her Uncle Bob at the tender young age of 15, life for little Sandy Kress was never the same. That moment officially launched her love of photography and 20 years later she is still capturing heartwarming, gripping, breathtaking, and hilarious moments wherever she can find them.

Sandra grew up in a suburb of Detroit and somehow wound up in Paris, after stints in San Francisco and New York. An alumna of The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and The International School of Photography in New York City, Sandra’s past clients include Disney, Nickelodeon, Random House and the most glamorous of them all: the New York bride. Sandra has held challenging positions in children’s television as a development producer for shows such as the Emmy nominated Disney’s Doug, JoJo’s Circus and PBS’s Word World. Sandra also produced and photographed the children’s book series Pinky Dinky Doo.

Retaining her child-like perspective, Sandra is happiest when capturing giddy moments of joy, wonder, and magic. With a journalist’s eye for narrative, Sandra is an unobtrusive, intuitive visual storyteller who offers a fresh perspective to the art of wedding and child photography.

When not taking pictures, Sandra can be found butchering the French language in her local boulangerie, plotting her next trip abroad and riding her bike, hands- and helmet-free through the streets of Paris.
